My mother (Hi, Mom!) never let us have "real" trees when we were little because she was allergic to them (and I probably was, too), but I thought that maybe I hadn't truly inherited that gene, or I had outgrown the allergy or something...but NOOOOOO! Every time I walk into the house, I start sneezing, and my nose gets all clogged up, which has led to...a sinus infection! Woohoo! Just what I wanted for Christmas.
With all the blowing (not of my nose, but of the snow) and drifting from yesterday's storm, we have drifts in the yard that are several feet deep. Below is a picture of the walkway to our front door. There are places where it's nearly up to my waist. Granted, I'm not exactly tall...it would be far more impressive if it were up to Nate's waist.
We haven't had the chance yet to go snowmobiling, but when we do, we're going to have to dig out the sleds. They are currently mounded with snow. Yes, those two big bumps to the side of the shed are snowmobiles.
In other news, I had the chance to hang out with the 2007 World Series Trophy last week, so I did exactly what any good Red Sox fan would do...I rubbed it in the face of my friend Bill, who is a Mets fan, because he'd do exactly the same thing if our roles were reversed!
