So, it's only taken nearly two months, but my father is FINALLY being treated for his cancer. I can't say I'm a big fan of the Big Pharmaceutical Company that will remain nameless...because I'm afraid they'll stop sending him his medication! All I will say is that the system is horribly, horribly broken. The cost of the medication is $500 per pill. Yes, PER PILL. Who can afford that? After much prayer, many tears, and far more paperwork than should be required, he is now getting something to try to stop this horrible disease from spreading. Many thanks to all my friends and family members (and people who don't even know our family) who have graciously kept my father in their thoughts and prayers.
In other news, Nate and I have finally completed our adoption homestudy, so we are now in the dossier process of this adventure. We have decided to request siblings, 48 months or younger. We would LOVE to have a boy and a girl, but I truly believe that whatever is supposed to be will be. Both Nate and I have been having dreams about being in Ethiopia and meeting our children...I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!
